A guest lecture on “Crisis Management” was conducted for the first year PGDM students on February 22, 2014 by Prof. Nirmal Bhatnagar, Professor and Dean, School of Mass Communication and Journalism, JIMS, Delhi. Students of PGDM 1st year were assembled in the Mini auditorium at 10.00 AM in the presence of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director and Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Program Chairperson, Prof. Vatsala Agarwal, Area Chairperson-PPSP. The session started with floral greetings to Prof. Nirmal Bhatnagar by Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Programme Chairpersonand introductory speech by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS Ghaziabad.
Prof. Bhatnagar explained the concepts of crisis management to the students in a very innovative manner with lots of live examples which has created an interactive participative session amongst the students. She emphasized on the practical application of the concepts studied in class by giving relevant examples from day to day socio-political-economical scenarios to the students. The students were really overwhelmed by the inputs given by Prof. Bhatnagar on such a different rather very relevant topic. The session proved to be a real knowledge enhancing session for the students as well as for the faculty members. At the end Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Programme Chairperson felicitated the guest with a token of gratitude and the Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Vatsala Agarwal.
