Special Lecture on “Wireless Networks” for MCA Students, October 20, 2016
Keeping up with its commitment to provide holistic development to its MCA students, IMS Ghaziabad, under the chairpersonship of our esteemed Director, Prof. J. P. Sharma, organized a Special lecture on “Wireless Networks”, October 20, 2016 for MCA Students. Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Chairperson, PGDM, Dr. Avadhesh Kumar Gupta, Head MCA & Dr. Vikas Chaudhary, Chairperson – Special lectures, seminars and conferences – MCA Programme, welcomed Guest of the day, Dr. D. K. Lobiyal, Professor, School of Computer & Systems Sciences, J.N.U, New Delhi.
Dr. Lobiyal enlightened the MCA Students on the most contemporary topic, which touches everyone’s lives, Wireless Networks and Wireless Sensor networks. He explained at large - how they function, their specific characteristic, various issues, challenges, requirements etc. He apprised the students about the various applications of Wireless Sensor Networks like the Smart City project adopted by Govt. of India, Sensor Networks used for Animal Tracking & Welfare in forests, Congestion Control on Roads to name a few. The students were a lot wiser at the end of the session.
Towards the end, Dr. Sheelesh kumar Sharma, Associate professor – I.T proposed the vote of thanks and expressed his gratitude towards the Guest of Honor, Director, coordinators and the august audience.
