Manipuri Dance Performance at IMS Ghaziabad
“Cultural diversity is the forte of our nation”. In continuation of our commitment to promote diversified skills, IMS Ghaziabad has organized an Indian Classical Music programme in collaboration with SPIC-MACAY on November 26, 2015. This cultural extravaganza promoted an awareness of the rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry amongst the youth of our country.
Dr. Tapan K Nayak, Director, IMS Ghaziabad along with all Faculty and Staff Members welcomed renowned Manipuri dancers “Guru Rajkumar Singhajit Singh Ji” and “Sushri Charu Sija Mathur Ji” and accompanying artists Nandita Devi, Tanuja Devi, Jagannath Ghoshal, Inaocha Singh and Sarat Singh to IMS Ghaziabad. He highlighted the importance of Indian Classical Music and also encouraged students to be strongly connected with the roots of our own rich cultural heritage.
Prominent Manipuri dancer the great “Guru Rajkumar Singhajit Singh ji” and “Sushri Charu Sija Mathur ji” and their renowned musicians showcased the elite form of Manipuri dance and captivated the audience with their spell bounded performances. The cultural extravaganza concluded with the standing ovation to the splendid performance with the gratitude towards artists. Dr. Anchal Mishra presented vote of thanks to all esteemed artists and to Mrs. Abha Bansal, Coordinator, SPIC MACAY. The auditorium was full of 400 PGDM and MCA Students and Faculty and Staff members.
