SAMAAGAM-2015 - Annual Inter Departmental Academic Fest of IMS Ghaziabad

SAMAAGAM-2015, An annual Inter Departmental Academic Fest of IMS Ghaziabad is going to be held on February 26, 2015. Mark-Wizz, The Marketing club of IMS Ghaziabad, this year presents………..AD-MANIACS, A scintillating show on hilarious aspects of ever challenging Advertisement world. The event will showcase the advertisements on different combination of Brand and Product category. The teams (in a group of 4-7) will be given a weird and unusual combination of Brand and product category and they will prepare an advertisement on it. Few of the examples are….Jocky Paneer, Frooti Toilet Cleaner, Itchguard Toothpaste, Isabgol Juice and many more hilarious combinations. The show definitely guarantees the ultimate enjoyment for all….the participants and the audience. The event is getting a huge response from the students as it is the right platform for students to showcase their talent.

  “Bulls and Bears” by the Finance Club of IMS Ghaziabad 

Institute of Management Studies, Ghaziabad is organizing Inter departmental fest SAMAAGAM-2015 on February 26, 2015. Finance club, in Samaagam-15, is going to organize finance event  ‘Bulls and Bears’ . Bulls and Bears is a stock market game which is designed to acquaint the participants about stock market volatility and its impact on their investment decisions. In this game, participants have virtual money of ten lakhs which is to be invested in stock market for six trading attempts. Participants are supposed to select shares from NIFTY 50 companies and will also decide the fund value which is to be invested in the capital market for each of the trading attempts. Market movement will be decided through random PPTs. The team which will have maximum portfolio value at end of sixth trading attempts will be the winner.

 “Technopreneur” by “AAYAM” - The Operations Club of IMS Ghaziabad

 The Operations Club- “AAYAM” will be organizing a team based event- “Technopreneur”, during the inter-departmental Academic Fest- “SAMAAGAM-2015” on February 26, 2015. The basic idea for conducting “Technopreneur” is to encourage PGDM I & II year students to propose a “workable, affordable and feasible” business plan. The three members’ team will present their innovative business plan in allotted time of 10 minutes duration before the jury of experts from different areas of specialization. The business plan will be judged on the basis of its innovativeness of idea, financial affordability and technical feasibility. The “Technopreneur “ will be conducted between 10:30A- 12:00Noon.

"TAKE-1"
The HR Club ‘SAKSHAM’ of IMS Ghaziabad organized,’ TAKE-1’, a theme based Role Play. Role-playing is an active participation tool that facilitates cooperative learning. This technique is essential to make theory and practice compatible .It has also proved to be more effective in developing competencies than traditional methods. Developing competencies is necessary for the student’s professional development. The objective of this event was to show the effect and use of role-playing applied to management area. Theme like motivation, workforce diversity, conflict resolution, women empowerment and decision making were given to students. A team of 5 members were provided with exactly 5-6 minutes to perform the act .Fifteen teams participated in this event.
