Management students entering in the world of work today are presented with a number of challenges. These include a decrease in employment opportunities and job security, fast-changing technology and an increasing personal responsibility for keeping up with changes in their disciplinary field of knowledge. To overcome this challenge a special interaction based session “Role of Emotional Intelligence in Employ-ability Skills”was organized by IMS Ghaziabad for PGDM students conducted by Ms. Reena Singh an Expert Trainer and Founder of Ananta Intellect Pvt. Ltd. on March 27, 2014 under the constant motivation and dynamic leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director, IMS GhaziabadMs. Singh was welcomed by PGDM Programme Chairperson Dr. Tapan Kr. Nayak in the presence of Area chairperson -HR, Dr. Anita Singh, other faculty members and students.  

The session emphasized on how to overcome the challenges by balancing our emotions. Ms. Singh highlighted that the employability of an individual depends upon certain psychosocial attributes that are seen to be important for successfully managing the interface between one’s personal career needs and desires and the demands of a continually changing work environment. Psychosocial employability attributes act as transactional re-sources between the inner (psychological) and outer (social) worlds of a person and assist in the process of adapting to social expectations and work roles. The session was very interactive and a learning experience. A small token of gratitude was extended to Ms. Singh by Dr. Anita Singh.
