A guest lecture on “Learning & Consumer Involvement” in the Area of Marketing was conducted on March 10, 2014 by Mr. Aditya Jain, Director, Princeton Review Group, Noida. Students of PGDM 1st year were assembled in the auditorium at 9.45 AM in the presence of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director and Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Program Chairperson. The Session started with floral greetings to Mr. Aditya Jain by Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, and introductory speech by the Director.
The lecture highlighted various areas related to elements that learning comprises of and the theories applied in this field. The purpose of lecturer was to facilitate the interaction of the students with Industry Professionals and thereby providing the opportunity to discuss recent developments in the field of learning’s acquired by consumers related to products offered by marketers. The speaker gave students the opportunity to perform a simulation exercise on an article pertaining to response of consumers on the advertising campaign of Tata Tea. The students got first-hand knowledge of contemporary business practices in the field of consumer learning. Various other articles were also included while delivering the talk. The session conducted by Mr. Jain was very lively, interactive and also it generated knowledge. At the end Dr. Tapan Kumar Nayak, Programme Chairperson felicitated the guest with a token of gratitude and Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Yogita Sharma, Faculty-Marketing.
